Brief Description of the Training:

The Covid-19 pandemic challenged researchers to provide quick policy inputs without the ability to conduct field data collection. This two-day workshop shares J-PAL SEA’s learnings on conducting remote data collection for various policy concerns during the pandemic. The first day discusses the preparation for an online survey including instrument design and respondent sampling. On the second day, we will discuss the components of data handling that includes data security, data cleaning, and data analysis. Participants will have an opportunity to work on a case study to evaluate a sample online survey instrument, practice debugging, and plan for data quality checking.
